I recently came across this site, iproperty.com.sg. As you may have already guessed, yes it’s a listing of property and real estate in Singapore. When I first clicked on the website, I saw so many links here and there, I felt somewhat lost…but ONLY FOR FIVE SECONDS!

I soon learned to get around the site, and it’s actually very simple! All I had to do to search for the property I was looking for is type a few things in the Search bar, select a few options, and click on Search! Then, I was led to lots of options. Being a kiasu Singaporean (hehe), the price of the property is the main issue to me. So, I clicked on ‘Sort by Asking Price’ on the drop-down menu. The details are listed in a very organized way.

I liked the fact that photos of the place are also included. Besides that, the photo of the seller, company and contact number is also provided, so I know it’s a genuine offer and not some too-free teenager playing a prank! I also like the map provided, as I’m bad at directions.

In addition to the classifieds, there is a comprehensive listing of all the private apartments in Singapore, and property resource with information about housing loans and refinancing, HDB buying tips, renting guides and more.

Overall, I think everyone interested in Singapore real estate should visit iproperty.com.sg!

I've just read a book by Vijay Eswaran and all I can say is wow! FYI Mr. Eswaran is a motivational speaker and reknowned author. He is also the founder of  Qi Limited, a big conglomerate with more than half a billion revenue a year.

Unknown to many, Mr. Eswaran is actually an Indian national too and he has made it really big in the international stage. He is also very famous now and get the opportunity to rub shoulders with VIPs and famous celebreties - you can see some pictures at Vijay Eswaran Photos website. I hope very much to follow his footsteps if given the chance. :)

You can learn more about Mr. Eswaran or even make friends with him by visiting his public profiles:

If you're looking for useful activities for your kids this coming holiday, you should consider enrolling them in a Phonics Class. Phonics is basically a teaching method to enable your kids to speak English more accurately by using the sound of letters.

For this purpose, Jan & Elly Singapore offers a Phonics program for kids that is taught by their mainly expat teachers. In this program, kids are taught spelling, grammatical skills and creative writing too. There's also a PSLE English class for those preparing for their PSLE exams.

I was looking high and low for an office to rent in Singapore when I stumbled upon Office Compass. Although a property agent, its website contains a search engine that displays all the office space for rent in Singapore. Just to experiment, I tried searching for offices in the Raffles CBD area and the search engine returned 72 results!

Basically, Office Compass specializes in four main types of office space - corporate buildings, shophouses, hi-tech/business parks and shared offices. Tenants (that's me) do not need to pay any commission as it is borne by the landlord. Learn more about Office Compass.

I was scouting around for a language translation agency when I found Chambers International. The company uses freelance translators from all over the world and is hence able to provide multiple foreign language translation for websites, user guides, etc. Chambers has five international offices and I have contacted the one in Malaysia for a quote - I'll update on their rates once I receive it.

Can't find the download button on Youtube? Well, because there isn't one so "NO" you can't download videos of your favourite webcam girl, the new Spiderman 3 movie trailer or that funny ComedyCentral clip. This is part of Youtube's strategy to avoid copyright issues from associations like MPAA, RIM, etc.

Fortunately, I found a website that lets me download Youtube videos to my laptop and it's called SaveYoutube.com! You simply copy the Youtube video URL you wish to download and paste it into the form on SaveYoutube.com, and hit the download button. After that, rename the downloaded video with a .FLV extension, e.g. change the name of "214908049805843" to "parishiltonvideo.flv".

Then download any free FLV video player to watch the downloaded video on your PC. The FLV format was created for flash-based videos suitable for streaming over the Internet, and hence cannot be played on your regular Windows Media Player. You can also convert the Youtube video to popular file formats like MPEG, WMV or AVI using one of the many FLV converters out there, although, you won't see better quality.
